Sexual assault and fraternity/sorority hazing

have unfortunately become prevalent issues on college campuses across the United States.

Victims of sexual assault and hazing often face significant physical, emotional, and psychological trauma. This includes PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder), depression and anxiety disorders, substance abuse issues, and even academic and social challenges.

Background

According to recent studies, 1 in 5 college women and 1 in 16 college men are sexually assaulted during their time in college and the majority occur within the first two years of school.

More than 50% of college students involved in fraternities, sororities, or different clubs and organizations experience hazing to some degree.

With over 95% of incidents going unreported, hazing activities can range from verbal abuse and humiliation to physical harm and dangerous rituals. Thus, perpetuating a culture of silence and impunity.

If you or someone you know is a victim of sexual assault and/or hazing on a college campus, you may be entitled to compensation.
